Manage Funds
Receive and manage VA benefit payments to help meet the beneficiary’s basic needs, including food, housing, clothing, and personal comfort items.

Budgeting
Create and follow a budget to ensure the beneficiary’s money is used wisely and lasts throughout the month.

Record-Keeping
Maintain accurate records of how the VA funds are spent or saved. The VA requires oversight through periodic reports and reviews.

Reporting Changes
Notify the VA of any changes in the beneficiary’s circumstances that could affect their eligibility or benefit amount, such as changes in health, living arrangements, or income.

Prevent Misuse
Ensure that funds are not misused, and protect the beneficiary from financial exploitation or abuse.

Save on Behalf of the Beneficiary (if applicable)
If all immediate needs are met, any remaining funds should be saved or invested in the beneficiary’s best interest.
